bpi.agri manufacture balewrap – the ubiquitous black (or green) ‘plastic’ we now see wrapped around bales of grass in fields throughout our rural landscape during the summer.

These wrapped bales are then stored and fed out to the herd as silage during the winter months when the cows remain sheltered indoors.

In essence, the product’s role is to literally capture the nutritional value of the summer grass crop and preserve it for winter consumption.

The quality of the silage both in terms of  nutrition and palatability, is paramount for the health of the livestock, for the amount and quality of  milk or beef output from the herd – and obviously key  for profitability; the farmer’s bottom line.
